The Penguin Post is sad to report the end of a literary era here at Penguin Place as we’ve sold the last of our Tacky the Penguin collection with the sale of our last Tacky and the Winter Games to a customer in Australia. First published in 1990 Tacky The Penguin became a hit and penguin literary institution with a new Tacky book in the series every year or two. Including Three Cheers for Tacky, Tacky and the Emperor, Tacky in Trouble there have been 6 Tacky the Penguin books all told. But, Tacky’s time has come and gone and it’s time to move on. Thanks Tacky, it’s been a fun two decades of trouble.
