Adorable Penguin Chicks At Sea World

The Penguin Post has learned that this past year marked the most successful breeding season on record for Macaroni Penguins.  In 2009 alone a dozen macaroni penguin chicks were born at SeaWorld in  San Diego.

In the above photo, SeaWorld aviculturist Kim Peterson introduces three of the macaroni chicks to their new Penguin Exhibit home.
Since 1980, more than 500 Adélie, macaroni and gentoo penguins have been hatched and raised at SeaWorld.
