Penguin The Cat Waiting For Adoption

The Kent County SPCA near Philadelphia hopes to use the case of Penguin the cat as a call for more people to keep track of their pets through micro-chips. Penguin was found frozen to a storm grate just before New Year’s Day. The was most likely chased by a wild animal and was hiding for protection. It was there for several hours and during that time most likely allowed moisture around her paws to freeze. A motorist spotted the cat and called the SPCA to help rescue the cat. Penguin has scrapes and bruises, but is recovering. She could be ready for adoption any day.
