Denver Parade Penguin Gets A Name!

The Penguin Post has just learned that the Denver Parade of Lights Penguin has finally been named.  His name appropriately  enough is Major Waddles.   Parade organizers held a contest for kids with the help of sponsor American Furniture Warehouse and on Thursday, the winner, 9-year-old Zachary Durocher of Aurora, got to meet Major Waddles in person. Colorado businessman Jake Jabs was there too, to present Zach with a $1,000 check for college along with some other prizes.  Jabs has a special honor at this year’s parade, he’s the grand marshal. The parade starts this Friday night at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast locally on Ch. 9 in Denver.
